A guardian meeting was held at Taheria Saberia Abul Hashem Sunnia Dakhil Madrasa, a traditional Islamic educational institution located in Dakshin Nishchintapur of Hosnabad Union in Rangunia Upazila, Chattogram. The meeting took place at the madrasa's hall on Monday morning, October 19, with the aim of improving educational standards, promoting moral values, and helping students grow into responsible and well-rounded individuals.
The meeting was chaired by Maulana Arif Uddin, superintendent of the madrasa. Md. Sekandar Saudagar, convener of the Rangunia Upazila Jubo Dal, attended as the chief guest. Maulana Muhammad Nasir Uddin, general secretary of the madrasa's management committee, delivered the keynote address.
The programme was conducted by Md. Masud Parvez, an assistant teacher at the madrasa. Maulana Abdur Rahim delivered the welcome address. Special guests included Md. Tajul Islam, Md. Harun Company, Morshed Talukdar, Hafiz Mamunur Rashid, and Md. Ismail Talukdar, among others.
During the meeting, the speakers emphasised the importance of providing students with quality education while fostering family values, religious principles, morality, and humanitarian qualities. They said teachers and guardians must work together to help students become honest, responsible, and exemplary citizens in the future.
The speakers also highlighted the vital role of families in shaping children's character and supporting their mental and social development. While educational institutions provide academic knowledge, families help children learn manners, responsibility, honesty, and respect for others. Therefore, guardians should regularly monitor their children's academic progress and pay attention to their behaviour, moral development, and religious practices.
They further noted that regular communication and cooperation between teachers and guardians make it easier to assess students' academic progress. Such cooperation also helps identify students' weaknesses and provide them with appropriate guidance. According to the speakers, guardian meetings of this kind can play a positive role in improving educational institutions and shaping students' futures.
Several guardians also shared their valuable opinions and suggestions during the meeting. They expressed satisfaction with the madrasa's overall environment and standard of education. They also pledged their continued support for improving educational quality and ensuring the institution's overall development.
The guardians stressed the importance of coordination among teachers, parents, and the management committee to ensure that students receive a sound education. They also emphasised the need to teach students discipline, punctuality, and social responsibility alongside their classroom lessons. These qualities, they said, would help students contribute positively to their families, society, and the country in the future.
Teachers, members of the madrasa's management committee, and a large number of guardians attended the programme. Their participation provided an important opportunity to exchange views on the institution's educational activities and future development.
The meeting concluded with a special prayer seeking the welfare of the country, the nation, the Muslim Ummah, and a bright future for the students.
